Robert... that was en excellent post. Thanks for sharing. What I've found with CCing is that I have to decide on a gain up front, choose a strategy and if the result is acceptable, then I live with it. Both CCing and naked PUTs are conservative approaches where you get a premium, but you will miss the big one. I have to pick my goal and stay focused and be happy when I hit it.

There was a guy who felt his house was worth $150K, so he put it on the market for $175 knowing that the $150 was an acceptable price. First person in gave him the $175 and he's now lamenting that he probably should have asked $200.... ahhh... "greed is good".... it teaches valuable lessons..... I am a student.

Bob it looks like you summed it up all in one word -- patience! Although you missed some profit opportunity, you still made a PROFIT. And that's what keeps you in the game.
