I once did a fund raising ride, the Best Dam Bike Tour, for Multiple Sclerosis, 100 km in weather with a heat index of 110. I'm not a professional bike rider but I never drank so much water or took so many breaks. Some of the racers passed out pushing their luck. my version of meathead, a standard poodle, loves to chase sticks in the water in any kind of weather so I cool him down now this way!
