Jeb~The "gentle stream" reference was not about Bill's retirement but rather an allegory he used to describe his vision regarding the bond market.
The picture you paint for later in the summer may come to pass but ask yourself this. Do I want timid Bill Gross as my hero or a guy like Theodore Roosevelt who once said "the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, who strives valiantly; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spends himself in a worthy cause; who knows the triumph of high achievement; and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat." ???
