Charles,

I am aware that others do this, but am unaware of any that do it on this scale. I haven't followed SUNW in years, and am surprised that they are deferring much in revenues. Thanks for correcting me about SUNW.

The original point was that these revenues are real, the money was made, and I don't agree that the deferred account should be ignored. The suggestion has been made here before that we should not factor these revenues in, and it is hocus pocus to include these revenues until they show up in a quarterly report. I think it is hocus pocus to not factor these revenues as they are being made and deposited, and I am looking to a slow down in the growth of the deferred account as a possible problem. When more flows out than in, it will very likely be a signal that MSFT's growth will have slowed badly.

Just my opinion, and this opinion runs counter to msft's stand in there cc. No one should use opinions here to make investment decisions, and should get counsel from their own investment professionals.
