j bird and others re portfolio CONCENTRATED DIVERSITY
BUY BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY CLASS B The only stock I know of that has a growth rate comparable to Dell and vitrually no risk. IN fact Berkshire does better in a bear market. that's when Warren Buffett goes hunting for bargains. symbol is brkb or brk\b. with Berkshire you own coke, amex, gillete, disney, gneral re (with 24 billion in idle cash for Buffett to deploy). I currently own only Dell Berkshire and a little Yahoo. 66% in Dell. I sold MSFT but I think I shouldn't have.
On margin, you might try buying Dell 30 to 45 days before each quarterly earnings announcement and sell just before the earnings announcement. Repeat this process each quarter. You will of course have to pay short term capital gains taxes.
What's your plan? This question addressed to all Dell heads who also believe in at least for want of a better word, "token diversification?"

i also keep recommending to all friends nd colleagues alike, read ed yardeni on "THe consequences of the peace" a topical study you can find at www.yardeni.com
