From: The Right Line Split Report, more can be seen at www.rightline.net (btw, I am a subscriber and highly endorse Roger's service) Lucent Technologies (LU) - This could be a Tremendous week for Lucent. If they follow suit with other telecom stocks and blow out earnings, it could be a heckuva ride! LU blasted back into gear last week rising 8.75 points to 94.88, a new 52-week high. LU will be reporting Q2 earnings this Wednesday, July 22nd. The street is expecting $0.27 per share vs. a year ago of $0.17 per share. LU last two earnings were a positive 50% and 13%. LU has announced over the past few weeks a significant number of new orders which are sure to bolster Q2 earnings is a positive way. Optionable.

I will find out the cost of calls on both companies for October and compare it's cost with the stocks present prices. When I get the numbers I will post them. I have no reason to think the market will either have a huge surge or a big correction in the next few months, you may be right, I would not get into a discussion over it, too little to go on. I plan my moves based on the concept that what is happening will continue to happen. I look on major market corrections as "acts of God". If I tried to plan my trading around them I would be frozen in place. All I know is that the market will eventual go down, it always has, but the people who have been waiting for it to go down the last 6 years have lost their ass!
