India's ISP Market Is Open To Competition

MCI, British Telecom, Motorola, and Sprint are among the companies considering entry into India's Internet-access market after the country's Department of Telecom cleared the way this week for 150 ISPs to compete there. Previously, there had been only one state-controlled ISP.
