Re: Bay changed earnings announcement from Tuesday to Monday - Maybe, Bay wanted to
announce earnings before Alan Greenspan's message to Congress on Tuesday morning.
Greenspan is likely to talk about economic slowdown and especially a slowdown in industrial
production because of Asia problems.

I think it more likely that Bay wants to corprate with NT's earning
announcement. If Bay announce on Monday after market close and NT announce on Tuesday before market open, it is almost same as they announce together. There is no market trading time frame.

g'day all - dear Ken, I notice Mr bayhead has penned 20th [today] as the earning release. Is this from the co? While we'll know in less than 12 hrs, if it is so, I doubt very much it is done on account of Uncle Al's engagement with Congress. Otherwise, many Super Tuesday participants may do so. Although speculation is rather meaningless to me at this point, I suspect the traders may want to decipher any code hidden. Usually, it is a good sign for a co who is eager to release the earnings ahead of time; however, since BAY and NT are joint to the hip, this will probably the monkey wrench for the traders to figure out if it is a bullish sign or not

best, Bosco
