I finally joined SI, with the main reason being some of the information I decided to try to get earlier this week. I called KNE and they had one of the Big Springs people (from the electric generation plant) call me. I am from Nebraska and have been through the Big Springs area, in talking with this KNE guy, I asked him what the situation was with NAMX gas. He told me that at the present time (today) the plant is receiving NAMX gas from 5-7 producing wells. He added that he believes there are to be 35 more wells hooked up by the end of the year. I also called the local bank, all they could report was that there are crews in the area, but he thought they were just repairing gas lines (I wonder if the repairs are the "reconnections of some old wells controlled by NAMX) The KNE guy did say that there are other producers also hooked up to the station, and he told me exactly where to find the NAMX wells and field (NW of Big Springs) A figure he gave me was the wells were producing 600,000 c.f. day, and when the new wells are added it should top 1m c.f. I have no idea how much that amount of gas is worth per well, maybe one of you could find out. On the helium question he was of no help, I have never heard or read of any helium in Nebraska, but that does not mean there isn't. I, like the rest of you, await "official" info from NAMX.
