Beat me to it; was just about to post that!

The best rec. and insight into Digital River so far.

I aksed a friend of mine ( he is a Mac contract software designer ) a few weeks ago if he felt Oracle was a good buy as far as software service/package companies went. He said that if they successfully executed their talked about alliance with Sun Micro ---utilizing JAVA and their own DB expertise --- to be able to download programs and program updates to their customers from a central focal point, they would hit the proverbial homerun.

Like the rec. said: no shrink wrap, no print expense, no schlepping etc. etc. What the rec. didn't mention was the enormous savings the end user would incur without having to have all their system administrators do all the installation for all those millions of PC's out there--not to mention the enormous amount of downtime that will occur while the software is being installed.

This is very good.
