You're right this thread is tiny and has no information. This is why I recommended the other SI thread on NOVL. NOVL, dirt cheap, good buy?
I'm not going to spend time here reposting what's already available there. I already gave you two reasons why I don't need NT. Performance and total cost of ownership. Throw in reliability too. I spend more time rebooting and baby sitting my NT and I have 1/10th as many NT servers as Netware. "Where do you want to reboot today?" I suppose I could NEED NT if it provided these things for me but why bother? Novell provides this for me today. Maybe the small business arena is a wash but I need a NOS I can run a large corporation on and it's gotta perform.

You need Novell for a $300 billion co. because there is no good alternative. Ask GM, Ford, and Chrysler Benz why they use it.
