I just saw a new compaq commercial on CNBC. My first impression was great !! They even mention how you can buy direct from Compaq. They need to play that commercial everywhere !! Goes right for the throat of Mr. Dell, GTW and the rest ! LOVED IT !

Phil, no hurt feelings. I was kidding. The rational of changing Compaq's name reflects the change of its nature from "Box maker" to broad IT hardware (including computers and networks) and IT services plus the additional assets of two new companies, DEC and Tandem. Compaq brand in other languages also reflect this "Box maker bias". Compaq's computers can still use that brand name for what it was good for. WorldIT, instantly transmit and transform to the world in all languages the new vision and the new nature of the combined companies of Compaq, DEC and Tandem. And doesn't Compaq want all the IT business of the world? Why don't you like it? Maybe we should have a list of candidates and then send private messages to one person to collect the vote. It should be interesting.
