Its not the fact of autoexercise

its the reasoning behind letting it happen. Those holding a 10 Call on Friday could have sold above the market price of the stock's close on Friday. Were they just dumb or is something else going on here that we haven't looked at with regard to these options?

August '98 options analysis (Max-Pain point analysis) is now posted. The analysis is based on Friday's (7/24/98) CBOE open interest data.

The Aug'98 Max-Pain point for NOVL is $10.
