Now be careful here. It is just as likely that these people (while not entirely aware of the reserves beneath their property) are simply living with financial trobles - especially if they are paying significant taxes on these properties. See PB's post from Friday.

Its not a factor of stupidity, its a factor of lack of information and not knowing all the options open to them. Two different things.

Remember, most of WV was told that they were tapped when the major's pulled out several years ago. Tell that to PETD and Cabot. Face it, WV gas industry is a little known diamond in the rough.
