When you're up there check out Glacier National Park in Montana. It's not that far and well worth the ride. You can drive through the park on a road that's called " Going to the Sun Road". It is absolutely breath-taking ( especially if you're afraid of heights!! My husband fell in love with Whitefish, Montana ! I was raised in upstate NY near the Canadian border in the Adirondack Mts. -40 wasn't that uncommon in the Winter there. We now have a place in Truckee, Ca. and I can take the Winter for a few days at a time. The mountains are beautiful. You'll enjoy the change from Las Vegas. Pat T.
