You're right...the property in question has been stripped of it's mineral rights .....it was initially purchased for a real estate play but this petroleum adjacent to our property increases it's value by a great deal because now there is an interested party who could possibly make even more....don't know who owns the mineral rights on this property.....could be Marvin Davis...not sure, and if it's not you could be darn sure that he's negotiating the purchase of it and if he added the surface rights....well...then he's sitting pretty...some of the fields in West Texas have been producing for 40 years...and still economically feasible..especially with enhanced production using new technology
