I understand that a lot of companies are simply replacing all older pc's to solve the 2K problem. One of the reasons I have heard given for a slowdown in SAP and Peoplesoft the next year is that it is too close to 2K. The companies can implement programs, but are running out of people to do them in time. Lets face it, we are down to 15 months! However, SAP has so much bus lined up or being sold that I don't think this affects bottom line.

It really depends on what you are doing with SAP R/3. If you are converting existing data, ie hr, manufacturing, legal ect. the time frame could be 8 months however, how long it takes to verify maybe a different story. My wife was lead on the SAP HR system where she worked and explained to me that ( if we had consultants do all the work 8 months is feasiable ) however that would not include training of exisiting staff. She went to about two months worth of training on SAP. Hope this helps
