MDCO and UTI were down today. What is your opinion on a good entry level? I've been watching other drillers and they've been in the dumper a long time. I guess it's when oil is expected to turn around.

Harold,

Thank you for reporting your information. Welcome back to the thread.
Regarding the talks breaking off because Craig is hard headed:
What do we want from our company's ceo? When you're negotiating,
do you throw all your cards down at once? Is a good negotiator impatient? Quick to act? I don't think so. Right now, the marketplace
is terrible. Maybe Craig thinks when things pick up as they always
do that company will command a better price. Nobody has ever gotten
rich selling at the bottom. We all know that as stock investors.

Regarding the contract news: I don't see how a major contract loss
is going to really effect the stock. When CS won big contracts last year, the stock wasn't effected on the upside.

Finally, the third part of the news is out regarding the brokerage
HOLD. The stock price hasn't really budged too much.

I think time is on Cabletron's side. As Craig dresses up the company,
the big boys are going to get more interested in acquiring more
towards Craig's asking price. Patience is key in negotiating a good
price. We want Craig to be very hard headed. We want the big telecos
to want and NEED Cabletron. Give them time. They'll be back to the dance.

Keep up the good reports. It stimulates good debate.

Sincerely

Jeff Bertrand

Let's forget about being respectful or rude.....this is neither, just my opinion. This info that HaroldS shared with all of us is FWIW in my opinion, just another guys tip that didn't pan out. As has been reworded here several times recently, tips aren't usually very good. Now we can all go back to discussing the company, networking and hoping our long or shorts make us money........
