Chrissie Hynde proved she's still her engaging sardonic self when she played at Detroit's Pine Knob on Thursday night. Hynde was besieged by doting fans -- and during one of the Pretenders' ballads, an adoring male thrust his bag of popcorn (not a euphemism, we swear) at her. Much to his surprise, she grabbed a handful of kernels and popped them into her mouth. When he offered more, she refused, but took a rose from another admirer, looked directly at the popcorn proffering fan, and said, "That's more like it.".
