hi Chris. yes, i switched into large caps calls at the end of
june, after holding OEX puts when the fed intervened in
the yen. so now i'm up 11% for the year, and 30% since 6/29.
sounds like you all are doing much better than that.

yes, LU has been announcing tons of deals this quarter.
i think earnings will be huge. i already had an august 85
call i bought at 5 (now at 16) and this morning i sold 2
of my 3 msft calls, and bought 1 more LU, and one more
CSCO.

i remember in may when LU announced 2 B $ of deals
in a 3 day period in may.

in the past i would buy small companys and they would
tend to go bankrupt. the only small companies i have now
are LXR (which has gone straight down), SIMS (way down),
JMAR (down) and T.DMX(down). so i've quit buying small
companys.

i think DMX will pan out to be a big winner. it is coming out
with an arthritis drug that has a fraction of the side effects over
current drugs. they applied to canada board some 17 months
ago, europe and us too. and then last month they added
a heavyweight to their board of directors.

i bought more STB calls - star bank. they announced earnings
last week, and they were up 37%. i had read about the ceo
last february, he came on board a few years before, he seems
really good.

any opinions on CAH - cardinal health? i bought a SHR call
10 points ago ... SHR has something to do with the
manufacturing of viagra. i see that CAH is trying to
buy SHR now. their chart was impressive.

thanks,
jef
