Several of you have sent me messages(some PM) about my mother's alzheimer's condition and the loss of our beloved pet, Chen-Chen, last week. Thanks to each of you that took the time to send your comforting and thoughtful messages at this time.

I must share with you one event that happened last week during our trying times. In addition to Chen-Chen we have two cats that reside with us, Twinkie(female) and Peaches(tomcat, who has never forgiven our daughter for naming him that as he indicates that it doesn't help his cause when he roams the neighborhood late at night and announces to any females, Hi! I'm Peaches.)Anyway, Twinkie is very social cat as where Peaches has never given us the time of day. Never in 12 years has he even let us hardly touch him. Anyway, last Thursday afternoon, after my wife had to deal with the Chen-Chen issue, she was sitting in the den on the couch and really feeling depressed. Peaches came into the room and climbed up into her lap and laid there for nearly one hour and merely looked at my wife. Never Never in 12 years has he done this. You can't tell me that pets can't read human emotions.
