Mr.Clinton,

Again I think you should review history. Cisco owned a partial stake in Cascade but Cascade felt they were worth more than Cisco was willing to pay - something like $6B. In the end they ended up selling to ASND for far less - funny how those things work out. When Cisco was evaluating the two companies Cascade and Stratacom were equals technically however StrataCom revenues were about 4 times that of Cascade's. In the end Cisco opted for Stratacom because of like cultures and close proximity not to mention their worldwide presence and success in both carrier and enterprise networks.
