I'm not a great fan of stock splits. However, Sepracor did amend the Charter to increase authorized shares from 40mm to 80mm at the annual meeting in May.

The most recent 10-Q said that fully diluted shares outstanding would have been reported as 37,812,000 were not the effect of doing so anti-dilutive (viz., would reduce the reported loss per share). One would expect them to leave some shares available for future financing, if needed. Thus a 3:2 split looks more likely than a 2:1.
