i would think that nt would notify you that one of the mirrored drives had failed.

i used to be a raid system enginner when disk arrays were just starting out. ncr made some nice controllers that could do raid levels 1, 3 or 5.

i agree, but my streaming tape drive is too small(60mb) for today's drives. instead, i gamble but increase my odds by using only buying ibm scsi drives.
