I agree. The 8000mt of gold that is short must pay its way.
This to me, implies a large gold/bond carry trade.

Bill,George and all,
We have,I believe,reached a technical reflection point in many markets.I am now looking for an acceleration in the following trends.Bonds and stocks much higher,gold,CRB and Cdn dollar much lower.The next couple of days should be very telling.I believe we are about to discover just how quickly the global economy is deteriorating.If we do not accelerate over the next few days,it would seem that a grinding out process will take us into early next year with the same results.Supply demand fundamentals are not likely to be very usefull tools at this juncture.
