When it's a Wintel computer "it brings lower prices". When it's an Apple product it's "unsold inventory sitting idle in warehouses".

It depends on your perspective and context. If you own Gateway shares, it sucks, if you are searching for a deal, it rocks.

If the oversupply is because of the asian flu, it's not your fault, if it is because customers are abandoning your platform, it sucks.

Meanwhile that "oversupply" just gets moldier every passing day...consumers may buy to a point, but eventually that bargain fruit gets a little too soft.

Which is bad for companies, not users....
