I've talked to a few people (strangers) in a variety of situations, and they have surprised me by saying either that they use news.com or they have actually bought shares of CNWK themselves. It seems to me that a move such as today is at least partially due to the actions (or lack thereof) of individuals.

The volume is certainly not impressively high. We saw the equivalent of 12,000 people buying 100 shares a piece, so the individual vs. institution question seems valid. How many are momentum vs. buy and hold remains to be seen, but I suspect that as CNET increases it's popularity (with NBC's help as well as through their marketing of news.com and related sites), we'll see higher dips as she sighs her way down again.

CNET is impressive in that they are about to show the world how they can profit (certainly not immediately in terms of $, but perhaps in shareholder value) from a strong relationship with major media. I hope they surprise not so much in profits but in new thinking.

Randy
