Brad,

They say that "the Street" factors in earnings potential 6 to 12 months into the future on a stocks price. If that is the case then I don't know what the hell is happening here. I believe that some of these institutions have a computer buy/sell program linked to the daily price fluctuations of oil futures otherwise I can not explain how all these stocks move in unison regardless of individual fundamental differences between each company.

Has anyone taken a close look at this Noesis site ? I hope I am not saying this just because I want Georgie to be wrong but I really think we are giving too much credence to this guy. He interprets everything in the worst possible light. He ignores OPEC reductions, a possible Asian revival, La Nina. Storage reductions are interpreted as meaning too much gasoline and too high refinery utilization. What is this $8 oil ? Is that posted price, spot price or futures price ? WTI or some other grade ? The cheesy chart on the site really says nothing. The projected price starts in early June while we are in late July. I just get the impression that George isn't really taking a balanced look at all the facts but is simply creating a price scenario based on his preconceptions. If he has been right recently, maybe that just means he will be wrong soon since what is he really doing other than trying to predict the inherently unpredictable ?
