- Intel Xeon Prices : 400 MHz/512K : $1.150 q2/3/4;)

Xeon 450 with 2 megs Cache : $4.500 (ihiihi), no price drop in 4 months.

I dont really think Xeon is going to be a big threat ;)
Prices of the Xeon/400/512k WONT drop (woehoo - $50 in 4 months)

So the only competition would be Cyrix, IDT, Celeron (*ahem*), Mendocino (haha with it's own socket -like customers are buying another type of socket *again* ), Rise MP6 (hmm i think they are the most dangerous to low end k6-mxx-233/266.

But intel is trying to compete in high end server's with Dec Alpha, with HP and others....Like a system administrator would play $4.500 for a 450 MHz "multimedia with mmx" cpu, with a non-upgradable bus, while there is an Alpha 667 MHz for the same price ;) Hhaha...

Cyu later.
