Jacob: There is a definite short term trend (at least) in Japan towards increased PC buying:

Also, average pricing for PCs has shot up recently most probably because old inventory has been cleared. The graph at the end of this article is interesting as it seems to mark the inflection point for the clearing of old inventory:

Please re-read my post on July 17. My opinions are based on factual foundation. This is also factual: CAPEX accelerates six months ahead of cycle trough for all semi end production. If we've bottomed (and I truly believe we have related to inventory correction) then CAPEX sector will rebound. Note last sentence of my 7/17 post: "this could happen quickly." I am prohibited from short-term trading, am long-term only, but would recommend you rethink a short position. Short-selling could accelerate the price movement higher. 9:44 AM AMAT = 32 7/8.
