Being younger in architecture and non-compatible to older (existing) software base, it is a more desirable CPU on paper. However, this is about investment. So, ask not what you can do for PPC, but what PPC can do for you to make money! By the way, the 6W number you quoted is for the marketing, That means it is for hyping purpose. That is the minimum. In serious engineering, the worst case must be considered. However, in real life, every low cost motherboard manufacturer adheres to numbers closer to nominal in Intel's spec. Time Traveler from New England with lobsters (do you like Maine lobsters with giant claws?) Ps. Watch out for these sea-walls. The climate is getting warmer. Melted ice in the poles would force the sea level to rise a few feet.
