I think Rogers is pompous but what he does say is insightful. He hasn't been exactly accurate but I don't think he's an idiot. I'm curious what his performance really is. If he is underperforming the market by 50% I would consider him to be a pretty good manager given his risk profile.

re: <<Jimmy Rogers: He must have some very compromising pictures of someone high up at GE.>>

Now there's an explanation that makes sense.

JR quote: "you'll never see interest rates below 6% again in your life"
to Kathleen Hayes I believe. This is why it's so easy for her to take
him apart.

JR's problem is that he is sooo arrogant, and if he doesn't like what
some one's saying he'll get into personal attacks.

On this interest rate discussion I remember him coming after Joe
Batipaglia about 'the people he talks to work for a living..., don't
fly around in private jets..' I forget the exact insults, but he was basically
loosing the argument and resorted to abuse. Joe, being the class
act that he is, didn't respond in kind..., and made the correct call.

since then, JR gets the mute button, though Haynes and his jibes can be entertaining. It's not that he made bad call, it's the fist pounding,
spoiled little brat way he did it.

right? to say 'I believe X, and am putting my money on this because
of it' is very different from saying 'I KNOW this, and you are some kind
of manipulating, criminal idiot if you don't agree with me.'
(slight exaggeration)

cheers,
-Kevin
