I'm having a new cable modem installed, and I was on the phone with tech support yesterday. The comment she made was that they were getting so many calls from Mac users (out of proportion to what they expected) that they are going to add more Mac tech guys.

This is a perfect example of corporate thinking. They see 3-4% market share and figure that they shouldn't even bother with the Mac. In this case they did minimally offer it, and then are surprised at how many are out there. The two reasons business guess incorrectly are (1) the low market share is because of the number of Wintels in business, but this cable modem service is for homes only (2) Macs last longer so the installed base is higher than the sales market share.

Apple needs to have more companies "see the light".

PS. Anyone know the cheapest/easiest Ethernet Hub to link up 3 Macs to the cable modem ... or pointers to info on doing this?
