FLINT, Mich. - A federal judge in Flint, Michigan, threatened to hold General Motors and the United Auto Workers in contempt if they delay arbitration procedures aimed at resolving two Michigan strikes against
the world's largest automaker.

In a hearing Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge Paul Gadola rejected a union claim that the court didn't have jurisdiction over the dispute. He also said he would charge them with contempt if they 'attempt to
thwart, impede, delay or prolong the arbitration process.'

It seems Wall Street has taken this news as a positive sign. GM is up to 69 9/16.
