>>>Still waiting on those odds lessons on baseball..<<<

OK.
Baseball gambling 101.
Teacher: Mr I lost $600 on Game 1 of the Yankees Double Header Last Night

Yanks are playing the Tigers today. Yanks are home and heavily favored: 34-7 at home and the Tigers are 19-29 on the road.
Cone is pitching for the Yanks with a 13-3 record against Powell who is 0-1. This all adds up to the Yanks being heavily favored.
The line is 11 - 13
This line is per $50 that you bet.

If you take the favorite for $50 and win, you win $50.
If you take the favorite for $50 and lose, you lose $130.

If you take the dog for $50 and win, you win $110
If you take the dog for $50 and lose, you lose $50.

The spread b/t the 11 & 13 is called the juice this is where the bookie makes his cash. If I bet the Yanks to win for $50 and you bet Detroit for $50 and the Yanks lose...I lose $130, you win $110, and the bookie clears $20.

You can also bet over/under on the total runs scored.

I don't recommend trying baseball unless you really have the $$$ to lose. When you play the favorites and lose you pay the price big time . I'll also add that from what I've been told by several book makers, baseball is a tough season for them...there's usually no money to be made by them since many people bet the favorites and they are often winners.

Any questions/comments let me know. If you like we can move this to a private place since this type of gambling is a no-no in many states<<<g>>>.
