Frank, I've been called a lot of things, but never desultory, to the best of my knowledge, so I'll have to assume that is your impression. I must say, my first impression is to find your comment insulting, but I suppose many a great people probably appeared desultory to some. The only negative posts I've gotten on this thread are those who are part of, or related to the FTEL clan (unless you consider Nick's comments negative). The people on the FTEL thread are the same people who once accused me of manipulating CD ! They also accused me of manipulating FTEL because I gave many negative sounding opinions on that stock since it was about $ 7.00 per share earlier this year. FTEL is now just under $ 2.00 bid. I'm doing very well this year, despite my current battles with CD, and I did well last year, too. I will assure you that my ways have a logical method to them, though to some they may appear disjointed. Regarding advice, I agree. I don't say what I am doing so that anyone can follow what I'm doing. I state how and what I'm doing so that we can learn from each other. I think Ron was saying what he said in order to show some support for me on this thread since many seem to delight in attacking me. I made a lot of money in QGLY at one point, and I know that Ron knows me from that thread. I should also note that I am not a financial advisor and would direct anyone who is so inclined to follow the advice of appropriate counsellor who knows your risk tolerance, etc. I might also add that it would be nearly impossible to follow me, though I am experimenting with the idea of investing in a handful of stocks which would be re-evaluated once each year. My list of super-stocks started on 6-23-98 include these five: LU DELL YHOO PFE and AOL I have been doing well with the small-caps but find they require a lot of time to follow and trade successfully. In order to free up time, and make it easier to invest very large sums of money, I have been experimenting with larger caps recently. CD is part of that experiment, as are my fictitious portfolios. One day, I hope to have a string of very good years put together in the market. In the meantime, as I learn and share my thoughts, I guess I will have to remain content to appear desultory to those who don't understand, or couldn't possibly follow what I'm doing.
