Interesting comment about THQI on the GTIS board. (Hmm. How do you get the URL of a posting? Cutting and pasting seems so pedestrian. :-)

I'm long THQI since 12, and have averaged up all the way because of great sounding fundamentals. However, the notion that it's because of float purposely being held low is unsettling.

Even looking at the 100 day chart, the volume seems anemic compared to the the enormous volume that sent shares to 20 in less than a week. That might explain the rich premiums on options, too?

Is anyone else concerned about this?

BTW, I just doubled my position in THQI today at 35 1/2. Three weeks ago, my THQI position was 12% of my portfolio. Since then, I've picked up more, and now it's 35%, double that of MSFT, DELL, and G. I hope I'm not making the same mistake that busted my portfolio into capital loss territory last year by making a huge gamble (not investment) in MPRS. Ugh.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts...

Cheers,
Gene

Bob:
I concur,GT pretty much has the Unreal license wrapped up. I was referring to future Epic releases excluding Unreal. With regard to GT, all I can say is that in July 97 the stock was worth $2 more a share than today. Its sad but true, Ron C. & Co. have continued to show shareholders that holding GT shares is losing proposition. Instead of all the B.S. about strategically acquiring new studios, how about a stock buy back program to reduce the float. THQI is a prime example of how a small float benefits the shareholder. 6 to 33 beats the heck out of 12 to 6 to 8, to 6 again ????
Cheers
