Good post. Long term perspective is the key. Someone like Buffett (not Buffett himself, of course) would come in and buy these companies outright here and hold forever.

I don't mind holding onto these stocks for years in order to realize the potential. My best investments are the ones I've held for long periods. I'm just a little disappointed that I misjudged the extent of the sell-off and bought a little early.

I think SI, for all the good it does as an investment forum, does a lot to foster a very short-sighted mentality. SI is littered with the corpses of a lot of "investors" who, despite their best intentions, couldn't hold onto a long term perspective.
