IMPRISTINE; Good to see you over here <G>
I will take back some of my snipes at Greenspan, he finally said
something up front & to the point that I agree with.
When he was asked if he thought investing S.S. finds into the
stock market was a good idea he said , NO and said it
without hedging. That to me gives him a lot of absolution for
his other sins.
------------------------
The Government putting S.S. funds into the privet sector, is the
most extreme form of communism I have ever heard of.
Not even when I was a communist wantabe I would never have dreamed
that Government both support the corporations while taxing people to do it.
That's a form of communism that exceeds any Marx ever thought of,
as it amounts to a communism for the privileged only.
Which I have for some time seen as the heart of the radical pit bull Republican agenda.
Man where did they get that idea , from the K.K.K. ?
------------------------
I don't want to get into this to much , as I may wind up having to
kick butt, but any way Greenspan said something right for a change
and I can now admire him about something; for the first time in my
life.
Jim
P.S.
Normally the market retracts when he talks, then latter goes up
what he says don't make a lot of difference to the market as
most people think. It does a little knee jerk, then goes on to
do what it wanted to do in the first place.
The reason is the way Greenspan talks he gives equal hope to
both the Bulls and Bears , and the vast majority of people
will hear him saying what they want. Or they will wait until
the News pundits translate it. They run a poll to see how many
Bulls vs Bears there are and then spin it to try and satisfy which
ever side has the most Morons in it. <G>
--------------------
We have been set for some kind of correction since the 16th,
almost all the recent run up has been in the Tech sector,
much of it at the expense of other sectors.
This is like a three legged stool being balanced on one leg,
and that leg is the most shaky of them all.
When the most volatile of the sectors is the only leg supporting
the market I don't feel very bullish.
Jim
