I think you can count on Amazon.com not losing money on this promotion. There are only selected titles available (ones they probably have in great quantity for which their costs are very low) and EVERY mail order business makes money on the S&H. In addition, most people who take advantage of the offer will feel better about Amazon and come back to buy plenty more books at regular prices.

By the way, I've been lurking for a couple weeks and have to say that, in general, I've found some good information on this list (as long as I can tune out some of the more vehement shorts). My position? I'm long, and have been in since before the last split. I did sell half my shares last week, but, to paraphrase the NRA: you'll have to pry my remaining shares from my cold, dead hands.
