Roderick ,

The entire U.S. appear as one hot land mass. And what's even stranger, the isotherm plots appear to indicate a break at the Canadian - U.S. border. What did you people do to deserve this? Very weird.

Well they say that Canada's two largest exports are Hockey Players and Cold Fronts. I suspect this is a NAFTA problem and not global warming <vbg>

Roderick,

""""But these extremes in temperature do not surprise me. Global warming is here, and its going to get worst in IMHO. 1998 was the warmest year on record for global temperatures in the last 600 years of recorded temperatures. And extrapolation of the latest statistical trends give one cause to worry.""""

Another climate expert?

Which tribes were recording temperatures in North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Austrailia 600 years ago? 600 years represents .000012 % of the life of this planet. Scientists estimate that between huge inland seas and ice ages that the earth's temperature has naturally fluctuated between 10 and 20 degrees.

How many thermometers did they have in Europe 600 years ago? We maybe have 100 years of reliable global temperature data. We have a planet that is about 4 1/2 million years old.

This would be like watching a human, with a life expectancy of 73 years, for 51 seconds while sleeping and deciding that he must be dead.

Stick to investing, please.
