ummmmm...Oracle is still THE gorilla in the DBMS business. Only (only?) MS SQL Server is a threat, and Oracle is making the right moves (dropping price/seat, web-enablement, supporting ODBC backends, gateways for Oracle 8, fantastic development tools). So, I must respectfully disagree with your evaluation of their management. And comparing them to Intuit is like comparing Ford to..to.. Yugo!

Now Oracle applications, on the other hand...
