If the market is really worried about inflation why were bonds and the dollar so strong today? Stock market was greatly overextended and looking for an excuse to sell off.

But remember Cole's law. "Stock market drops not accompanied by weakness in bonds and the dollar are limited to 10% and represent buying opportunities. But when stocks, bonds, and the dollar start tanking together, time to head for the hills and load up on gold and gold stocks."

RE Inflation rate
I keep hearing that the real rate is nearer to 6.5%. that is about what my gut tells me also.
