Kaiser says buy 'downright cheap' stock

Winspear Resources Ltd WSP
Shares issued 32,751,333 Jul 20 close $1.38

John Kaiser, writing in the July 8 edition of his Bottom-Fishing Report,
says Northwest Territories diamond hunter Winspear Resources is "downright
cheap" and an "excellent stock to own in a bear market." Mr. Kasier says
Winspear is a buy at dips below $2, but if it rises beyond $3 in the
absence of any news, the letter writer advises "lightening up" on the
stock. WSP was at $1.53 when he wrote his report. Winspear announced
encouraging results a few weeks before Mr. Kaiser's report from its Snap
Lake, NWT property. Summer field work will probably concentrate on tighter
sampling north of the property. In Mr. Kaiser's words, this will determine
whether the source of the indicator mineral train is offset from the
train's head. The letter writer recommended WSP in February 1997 at $3.61,
and again in December 1997 at 84 cents. Mr. Kaiser says Winspear is the
kind of stock that can attract outside money, and that "each time a new
capital pool enters the market, a higher support base for Winspear will
develop."
