godellgo,
Hi!!! <<How about the number one computer maker in the world?>>

IMO Dell already knows they are going by Compaq....an interesting situation occurred outside the briefing room after the factory tour....while we were in the foyer a conversation was started by Drew Swiss with an individual who got onto our tour...naturally we were impressed he received this tour since we found it difficult to get one ourselves...listening in I found Drew's questions to be quite pointed...for the man answering them was by far a quite outspoken individual who identified himself by stating that he was working on a project in conjunction with Tom Meredith and possibly Michael Dell....this being a possible program where some of the poor areas of Brazil would receive PC's through some type of donation....well, what interested us was the scene he was recreating at the Expo last fall where Ekhardt Pfeffer and Michael both spoke...he stated how they spoke six hours apart for good reasons...but, where he really became excited was when he attempted to describe Drew's home run question: "So how did each one look on stage talking about their plans for the future?".....This truly caught my attention....his reply was bellowed loudly and with great enthusiasm....he was excited to tell us that Ekhardt was nervous and IHO did not come across "very clearly"..."he was tense and IMO unsure of things"....."where Michael was smooth and the words just flowed"...
He was about to walk away on that when I pointed at him and said "Ekhardt's lack of smoothness was his fear"......well, that touched off a rocket barrage of remarks by this man...he was animated and quite showmanlike...I then repeated how Michael knows he is well on his way to conquering more and more of the market with the virtual integration ...This is why he can calmly and smoothy present his viewpoints...it is this confidence which is so easy to recognize and when both of them spoke on the same day....there was no comparison...The man was stunned and impressed..."exactly....exactly....exactly" he said loudly three times.....I believe Michael already knows Dell is unstoppable and will soon be obtaining that #1 position...once again this individual seized this opportunity to remark on how true this appeared to everyone there that day...
Obviously, this was just another story from our trip... the guy has held Dell "in a very substantial ...very, very substantial position for 9 years"..... he was very excited to have us as an audience....Drew bought more Dell immediately after this....good move Drew!!!

Best, Kemble
