Nice response. Really

With the advent of the inexpensive PC, NC's have NO future, as appliances or otherwise.

Java is a good language, but still too slow.

We'll see if SUNW is more than a MAJORITY of INTERNET servers. I'll stick to my point that SUNW is going to be all about:

1- Some Software
2- Servers, Servers and more Servers --> StarFire Margins are carrying the company, and getting them accounts they did not have a chance to have, against HP, IBM et al.
3- Inxepensive Workstations like the Sparc 5 % 10's, which are a hit, and use INDUSTRY standards (some) like PCI.

I still believe that McNealy should stay out of MSFT's way, and MAKE MONEY !! Every company that made a religious crusade against MICROSOFT
is DEAD ! Dead !

Borland, WordPerfect, Corel, Lotus, and the big one, from that idiot...
NOVELL Yes Novell. They went on a religious crusade. Where are they now huh ? a bit player, at best. 1.2 Billion for Wordperfect and others, and what did they have to show for it... nothing.

That's all for now
I await your well-formulated, interesting comments as always.

Jean
