Prof thanks for the response very much. I couldn't begin to count the number of times I have been wrong or more fortunately the number of times I have learned from someone stating their views.

Although I share your views in most part regarding small caps, I don't in APCO's case. Here are a couple of my thoughts,

1. APCO has and is being noticed. New analyst coverage twice in the last 3 months or so with the most recent one coming today. The institutional interest that has taken place in the last few months. I think it was this volume that started to drive the stock. Well that and the three amigo's of a course. <vbg>

2. Agreements with companies the caliber of Allstate and Banc One can't.

3. I also believe the following long term chart is reflective of the fact that they are getting noticed

quote.yahoo.com

>>I'm sorry to say that I don't believe good earnings or "institutional interest" is going to move this stock too much.<<

Persoanlly I think it is exactly the above that has taken it from 4 to
10 (currently). From $12 to $15 emotional exuberance.

Thanks again and I do look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Cary

Prof, I think that small caps represent the best value in the market right now BECAUSE they have been ignored. When the larger stocks fail to meet earnings or begin to taper from their growth rate the
market will find stocks like APCO. I believe in market efficiencies. Sometimes it takes longer than other times, but equilibrium is usually established. Moma didn't make stupid Amigos.
