How interesting that you would ask since without searching the net I have some answers right on my fingertips. ABC special probably, something like that, prime time TV, stated skin cancer in ariziona up 600 percent. Maybe 6000. Probably 600 percent. Like lots and lots and lots.

LEarning channel documentary on lower Agentina near the ice cap 2 years ago. Documentary looked at least 5 years old at that time. Blind sheep reported in great numbers due to the ozone (bigger hole at the poles. go figure that one out, I can't)

children all wearing sunglasses--state mandated almost. Children--babies--WILL wear sunglasses. Why? The ultra violet is eating up the eyeball cells.

Skin cancer statistics are just off the charts lately. REally up as far as I can see. I would imagine up 100 percent in the last 7 years. The heat waves only just started in about l992, I think. Just saw 90 degrees here and there and knew 90 degrees in Minnesota was really strange. But in l992 I remember no real heat waves.

The sea is fed exclusively on krill. Everything in the chain lives on krill, even the great whales. Krill is to sea creatures what wheat is to humans. Krill is diminishing in the ice cap basins because the UV is killing them as they skim the surface, which they all do.

The plankton the other sea creatures who live on the coast lines live on is turning red And worse. Just really dying lots of places. That's from pollution, not UV. The biggtest fish have to eat littler fish, and the littler fish start out on planton and algae. I have some studies projected for 2020 from different eco and bio mags, and want to see how far along the damage is in five years. Seems to me it is along.

From what I can see, the sea will starve before it dies of pollution. They could swim around with open sores if they had food. IT's the food that might go first, due to the pollution on the coasts and the UV killing the krill in the arctic basins. I didn't know a thing about krill and was totally amazed by the thought of it being the hub of the food chain of the entire sea. Krill are just tiny swimming shrimp, for those like myself who didn't have a clue what a krill was.

Also, massive melting of the polar caps first caused enormous alarm, then became quite hushed. I guess as the world and the ocean heats up, curiously, the ice caps are managing to somehow re-freeze to solid ice.....sure they are. That's why there isn't much mention of it I guess. However, with Hawaii barely a few feet above sea level for the most part, that becomes significant.

When I lived in California 30 years ago there was a wide sandy bay on a little tiny turnaround in Casper. Prettiest tiny little bay on the face of the earth. So a divorced lawyer bought some beach front land from the state and built this round wood palace on the sand on that beach. It was amazing, sitting there looking out over the ocean.

I went through there in 96. The house has long been sold and now rents through some agency by the week. More gorgeous than ever, the place is knock out. I asked the people renting it if they didn't want to buy it. Answer: Can't. The woman pointed to the sea that looked about 20 yards away from the house. Can't buy it, that's why it's being rented out. It's going to be taken by the sea soon.

This did little to restore confidence in my hope that all was well and I was just getting a little overboard on it all.

I just watch it all, but as you WILL notice, there is not exactly a lot of comment on these matters on evening news and newspapers.

And if you were tracking this as I was, there was nothing but screaming and hollaring about the ozone holes until it forced the world conference on the ozone in I think l991. They spoke of the CONFERENCE every day, but after that conference there was hardly EVER a peep again about the ozone. That's when I really got spooked and started looking for myself.

That's all I know. Actually, I know a lot more, but its all scientific and I only quote stuff if I have it in black and white in front of me.
