Well, Jon, lets just say that I have it from a good source that the Maker of the ozone layer made it to keep the air in so there would be life on earth, and to maintain life, the earth would have to have a protective membrane of something to keep in the breathable air. The same source writes that in the very last days the heavens (air surrounding the earth in the original Greek--not Heaven as in "Heaven") "departED, as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places." Nothing against you, Jon, but I think I'll go with the big glossy library books written by megabrains who draw diagrams explaining how the air stays around the earth--by the little blue membrane where the vacuujm of outer space is on one side and inside is nice stuff we live on. Then I'll stick with the Bible which mentions astoundingly that at the very time the ozone layer begins to disappear in human time projected, the ozone layer begins to disappear in real time 2000 years later. Talk about a million monkeys with a million typewriters writing King Kear, Same coincidence, to me. So, apparently the ozone layer holds a special significance, even though it is dismissed by you as merely a bizarre phenomenon held in place by gravity, serving no other purpose than curiousity as to why. Trust me, Jon. It's real, real important, and holes in the big balloon are not good. There was a world conference on it, heralded daily in the newspapers, and after the Conference, a total news blackout overnight. Figuratively overnight. As in lots and lots and lots of news about ozone about every week, and then suddenly it stops appearing anywhere as a topic of interest after the world EMERGENCY conference. Now THAT'S creepy.
