Here's how I figured it:

Total first round amount: 17,800. If the Daily Double
is under the "100" amount and you pick that last,
you get a total of 17,800. 9,000 total possible,
minus 100= 8,900, doubled= 17,800.

Round 2.

You take 17,800 into DJ. The 2 Daily double questions
are both under the "200" amount. You hit both of those
last, in succession. Total amount in round 2 before
Daily doubles and including total from round 1 is
35,400. You hit the first Daily Double, you double
35,400 to 70,800. You hit the second Daily double with
70,800, double it to 141,600. You go into final
jeopardy with 141,600 and double it to 283,200.

I think I finally got it right.
